Jon Rogers
Jon has spent more than three decades inside football as a player, coach, talent evaluator, executive and club builder. As a player, he was a CCAA All-Canadian, national champion and nationally carded athlete, and spent time in the UK before moving into coaching, player development and professional football leadership.
He led the founding team of Vancouver FC, helping build the Canadian Premier League club from launch and holding senior roles across its commercial, sales, marketing, community and youth operations. On the technical side, Jon has coached and developed players across grassroots, academy and high-performance environments, built youth programs from the ground up, and led professional trials and combines that produced first-team signings and further professional opportunities.
His experience also extends across the wider business of football. Jon has worked on major football marketing and fan-engagement initiatives involving FC Barcelona and the DFB, and continues to work with professional clubs on brand, media, player development and football operations.
He holds coaching qualifications through CSA and UEFA, talent identification credentials through the English and Welsh FAs, ISSA strength & conditioning certification, and PFSA scouting qualifications. He has also worked as a coach educator and course facilitator and holds a master's degree in Sports Marketing and Sponsorship.
That combination gives Jon a rare view of the game from both sides: how players develop and how clubs ultimately assess, select and invest in them.
